Throwraft

After launching Throwraft in 2012, Troy Faletra faced challenge after challenge trying to break into an industry run for decades by the goliaths of the boating world. He thought that the industry would be thirsty for new products, designed to make saving lives easier, after 100 years without innovation. He was wrong. Larger, well-established suppliers continued to box him out of retail stores like West Marine and Bass Pro Shop. Troy needed more money. He needed to be able to ramp up production, purchase inventory, pay for insurance, and market his product. But without an investor, and without solid sales, banks turned Troy down for a loan, and he was struggling to stay ‘afloat’.

Troy first heard Ami speak at the Big Breakfast in Florida, a monthly breakfast designed to bring together entrepreneurs to learn from authors and like-minded business owners. Shortly after Troy turned to MultiFunding for help. Joe McCallister worked with Troy starting in March 2020 to get funding. He introduced Troy to Five Star Bank, guided him through the hefty paperwork, and served as moderator with the underwriter. In a little over a month, Troy was funded.

In just a few short month’s Troy was already bringing in 5x’s more sales than the year previous, put a second product on the market, and became a supplier with Walmart. All with 5-star reviews, and all during a worldwide pandemic and shaky economy. Troy drove a large portion of the funds into marketing.
